Aleatory Music
Aleatory music is a method of composition practiced by post-war composers where the performer or conductor chooses the order of succession of the composed pieces. This style of music was developed from a reaction against serialism. Forms and structures are not fixed; rather they are subject to transformation from one performance to the next.
