En route to FCM 10

August 18th, 2012

Right now I am riding BART heading towards San Francisco for the 3rd concert of the 10th Annual Festival of Contemporary Music.

So far this has been an amazing concert season. The first two concerts were tremendously successful and tonight’s is shaping up to be just as good! Tonight’s concert will feature three vocal pieces as well as four composer performed works.

It is crazy to think that tonight marks the 17th concert in the Festival’s history. Over this time each year and each concert has gotten better and better.

I am proud of the FCM. When I started it ten years ago I could not imagine it would transform into the event it is today. I want to thank John Bilotta and Davide Verotta for all of their hard work and dedication. The FCM is a success because of them!
